Unifying the startup founder application process: The Common App

The Common App is a tool that provides startup founders with a single, unified application process. By making the application process easier, faster, and more streamlined, it provides a better experience for both entrepreneurs and companies. As a result, startup founders can focus on growing their business instead of worrying about how their application will get processed.

Persistence

Persistence is an important component of a successful startup. In fact, it is a prerequisite for pursuing an entrepreneurial endeavor. It involves a commitment to a business venture and the ability to cope with adversity. However, persistence can be a complex concept. The question then is, what is persistence?

A new study compared a number of persistence related factors. The results were highly heterogeneous among the subgroups.

Among the many factors studied, the most important was the hybrid persistence measure, which combined the standard survival index with a subjective persistence index. This measurement is more informative and statistically significant than the conventional measures.

While this is not the most elegant way to score a job, it does indicate that persistence is a critical part of the startup application process.

Implementation

One of the first tasks of a newbie startup founder is figuring out the best path to the prize. The long road to the big kahuna isn’t always as smooth as it sounds. Fortunately, the good news is that there are plenty of people out there to help along the way. In the process, you’ll find that there are a few standouts to keep an eye out for. So, take your pick from the list below, and you’re sure to come away a winner. And that’s not to mention the dozens of cool cat friends you’ll meet along the way. Just make sure that you remember to make the most of them! After all, you don’t want to feel like you’ve wasted an afternoon.

Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub

Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub is a new digital platform for startup founders in Asia. It is designed for early-stage startups and provides access to tools, resources and tech for free. In addition to providing technology, it brings people and knowledge together to fuel innovation and startup growth.

The program aims to help startups succeed by providing guidance at key inflection points in their startup journey. This includes technical and business support from mentors and industry experts, as well as training and other resources.

Each member gets access to over $300,000 in benefits. These benefits are tailored to each stage of startup development. Start-ups can get up to $150,000 in credits, as well as $250,000 in software and accounting services. As their company grows, they can extend the program’s benefits.

COVID-19 question on the Common App

A new Common App question on the startup founder application process will ask applicants to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic. The question is part of a broader FAQ that will be available on the School Profile section of the application. It will give applicants an opportunity to explain how the pandemic has impacted their community, as well as types of impacts. This will also provide a space for counselors to discuss the impact of the pandemic on school communities. While there is no replacement for the Additional Information question, this Common App question will give applicants a more detailed FAQ.

If you have questions about the new COVID-19 question, or about the startup founder application process, you can contact the Startup Founder Program or reach out to your college’s Admissions Office.
